Community Guidelines
Effective date: November 5, 2026
Electrify builds games people come back to every night — a Spades table with your partner, a DeadShift run, a Word Fix streak on your lunch break. These guidelines keep our games, Discord server, social channels, and tournaments worth coming back to. They are part of our Terms of Use and apply everywhere Electrify players gather.
1. Our Table, Our Standards
-
Compete hard, play fair. A win only means something when everyone plays by the same rules.
-
Respect every seat at the table. Everyone deserves to play without being attacked for who they are.
-
Keep it real. No cheating, no scams, no impersonation, no fake giveaways.
-
Look out for each other. Report problems, protect younger players, and help new players learn the game.
2. What's Welcome
-
Competitive banter and trash talk about the game — calling a renege, celebrating a Boston, hyping your partner, or roasting a bad bid.
-
Sharing clips, strategies, fan art, and memes about our games.
-
Honest feedback and bug reports, even critical ones. That's how our games get better.
-
Helping new players learn the rules and the culture of the game.
-
Hosting and joining community game nights in the channels we provide.
3. What's Not Allowed
-
Hate and discrimination. Attacks, slurs, stereotypes, or symbols targeting anyone's race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, age, or other protected characteristic.
-
Harassment and bullying. Targeting someone with repeated insults, following them across channels or into direct messages after they've asked you to stop, encouraging others to pile on, or sharing content meant to humiliate someone.
-
Threats and violence. Threatening anyone, glorifying real-world violence, or encouraging self harm. Fictional combat in our games, like fighting the Flatlined in DeadShift, is part of the game.
-
Sexual content. Sexually explicit or suggestive content anywhere in our spaces. Any sexual content involving minors results in a permanent ban and will be reported to the appropriate authorities.
-
Personal information. Sharing anyone's real name, address, phone number, school, workplace, photos, or other private details without permission (doxxing). If you're under 18, don't share your own.
-
Cheating and exploits. Using or promoting hacks, bots, mods, or exploits; selling or sharing cheats; or signaling your partner's hand through Discord, a call, or any other outside channel during a match.
-
Trading and gambling. Buying, selling, or trading accounts, items, or progress; offering to play someone else's game for them; or organizing real-money bets on our games.
-
Spam and scams. Unsolicited ads, repeated messages, fake giveaways, phishing links, or requests for passwords or payment information.
-
Impersonation. Pretending to be Electrify staff, a moderator, a creator, or another player.
-
Illegal activity. Anything that breaks the law or promotes illegal activity.
-
Spoilers. Posting major story spoilers for new DeadShift content outside spoiler channels, or without spoiler tags, during the first two weeks after release.
-
Unapproved self-promotion. Promoting your own channel, server, or product outside the channels we set aside for it.
4. Names, Profiles, and Avatars
Display names, profile pictures, and bios must follow these guidelines: no offensive or hateful names, no impersonation, no personal information, and no names designed to get around filters. We may reset or remove names that break the rules.
5. Voice, Streams, and Clips
-
The same rules apply in voice channels and on streams hosted in our spaces.
-
Don't record or share other people's voices without their permission.
-
Streams and clips of our games are welcome — see the videos and streams section of our Terms of Use. Don't use them to harass other players or show off cheats.
6. Tournament Rules
These rules apply to every Electrify tournament unless event-specific rules say otherwise.
-
Eligibility. Open to players who meet the game's age rating and follow these guidelines. Players under 18 need a parent's or guardian's permission.
-
One entry, your own play. Play on your own device and identity. No account sharing and no one playing for you.
-
Partner integrity (Spades). Partners may not share cards, signal hands, or coordinate bids through any outside channel — voice, text, video, or in person — during a match. Table talk stays inside the game.
-
No collusion. No arranging results, soft-playing, or losing on purpose
-
Disconnections. If you disconnect, rejoin as fast as you can. Repeated or deliberate disconnections may lead to a forfeit.
-
Results and disputes. Report results as the event rules require. Raise disputes with a tournament moderator within 24 hours of the match, with screenshots or clips if you have them. The moderator's decision stands unless changed on appeal under Section 10.
-
Prizes. Unless official rules say otherwise, prizes are in-game rewards only and have no cash value.
-
Sportsmanship. Trash talk is fine; abuse is not. Unsportsmanlike conduct can lead to disqualification.
7. Safety and Young Players
-
Never ask a player you don't know for personal information or photos, or to move the conversation to a private app.
-
Adults may not seek private relationships with minors in our spaces. We remove anyone who does and report it where required.
-
If someone makes you uncomfortable, block them and report them to a moderator.
-
If someone may be in danger or at risk of harming themselves or others, tell a moderator right away and contact local emergency services (911 in the U.S.). In the U.S., anyone in crisis can call or text 988 to reach the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline.
8. Reporting
-
In Discord: message a moderator or use the reporting channel we provide.
-
In our games: use the report feature where available.
-
By email: support@electrifyentertainment.com with the subject line “Report.”
-
Include what happened, when, where, and who was involved, with screenshots or links if you can.
-
Reports are confidential. We don't tell the reported person who reported them.
-
Knowingly false or bad-faith reports are themselves a violation.
9. Enforcement
We look at context, severity, and history. Typical steps:
-
Reminder or warning — for first-time, minor issues.
-
Timeout or mute — usually 1 to 24 hours, for repeated or disruptive behavior.
-
Temporary ban — usually 7 to 30 days, for serious or continued violations.
-
Permanent ban — for severe violations, including threats, hate speech, doxxing, sexual content, cheating in tournaments, scams, and ban evasion.
-
We may skip steps for serious violations, remove content, void tournament results, remove Virtual Items gained unfairly, and report illegal activity to the authorities. Bans may apply across all Electrify games and community spaces.
10. Appeals
If you believe we made a mistake, email support@electrifyentertainment.com within 30 days with the subject line “Appeal,” your username or player ID, and why you think the decision was wrong. When possible, someone other than the moderator who made the original decision will review it, and we will reply with our decision. Appeal decisions are final.
11. Staff and Moderators
-
Electrify staff and moderators carry official roles in our Discord.
-
We will never ask for your password, verification codes, or payment information, and we never run giveaways that require you to pay or to click outside links.
-
Moderators are doing their best to keep the table fair. Treat them with respect, and use the appeal process instead of arguing in public channels.
12. Changes and Contact
We may update these guidelines as our community grows. The effective date at the top shows the latest version. Questions: support@electrifyentertainment.com.
